I think Studio Series honestly has more competition for the Titan slot, which should probably include stuff like Grimlock.įor G1, there's also the Junkion ship and for non G1, Prime/Aligned Thunderwing could be an option, though that might be better suited to Studio Series since he's from a game. I think Animated Omega Supreme is another non-G1 figure that warrants doing. Maybe Orcanoch, the Axalon, and Darksyde. Two Deluxes and a Voyager are around Commander price. Although I'm not entirely sure these aren't Commanders. In terms of Beast Wars, the big things I see are Tripredacus and Magnaboss. I just think there's 15 or so fairly viable ones (and that could probably alternate between Legacy and Studio Series every year or double up some years to fill out the next decade). That doesn't mean I think EVERY year will be a G1 Titan. Throw in a proper large scale Titan weapon and a dozen blast effects and you're there.Īnd there are both G1 combiners left to do and, honestly, I'm expecting them all to get redone because Combiner Wars combiners had wonky monster proportions with holes in the middle of the elbows (because they were using legs). The cost for Legacy Menasor was already close to a Titan. Unlike before, I don't think Hasbro would size them up to typical Titan size. But I'm not sure Grandus is terribly different from Cybertron Metroplex or Halonix Maximus.Ĭombiners and combiner re-dos are a contender for the Titan slots. And I'd dispute that JG1 is G1 for these purposes since you have literally millions fewer people familiar with it. Outside of American G1, you have Grandus. That's essentially two Commanders with a bit more complexity. A simpler $200 Unicron would probably sell and have repaints (and maybe a Platinum style G1 version).īeyond that, you have characters that reasonably could fit as a Titan like Powermaster Prime with Apex Armor. (Armada Unicron or Unicron's head.) The Haslab struggled because it was $500 for something 25% bigger than a Titan (and it was more complex but I'd say that might work against it for some). I honestly don't see Unicron as a "troubled" option either. They've had no trouble making these fairly obscure characters. The Quintesson Ship has been all over the place for several years. I think both the Quintesson Ship and The Revenge (and the Autobot Shuttle) could cap off what the Ark and Nemesis started. But the Quintesson ship is featured prominently several places, including the Legacy Evolution packaging. That planet is a nightmare of an altmode. See all the mirrored images after the break and then sound off on the 2005 Boards! We are glad Hasbro’s team is sharing more valuable information and backstory of the new figures in the market. Now you can really give Arcee the firepower she needs! As we can see, the new Red Cog extra parts and weapons will take the playability of our collection to another level. Lots more cool features in this pack that I’ll share when time permits! Cheers! Okay, I just got sidetracked, back to the reason for the post!!! The peculiar looking handheld blaster featured in this post has an alternate reason for being, please swipe and see how you can finally upgrade your WFC deluxe Arcee with the Cog double blaster weaponizer mode featured in the show!!! Cant wait to see all the combinations everyone uses it for. You can see our Red Cog here comes with one of those, but it also accepts a 5mm post on each end to enhance blasters with energon fusion or just simply plug onto any 5mm posts across the line. In episode 5 season 1 of the WFC series Arcee and BB visits mercenary SoundBlaster carrying energon vials. Before I tell you everything about the pack, I wanted to highlight this special weapon that comes in the pack. This character is inspired by the for Cybertron series, where Red Cog appears in multiple episodes looking like an awesome autobot trooper. Happy TF Tuesday everyone!! I hope you all have seen the reveal of Legacy Deluxe Target Exclusive Red Cog with weapons pack! I worked on this item with the great Hasui Shogo at Takara Tomy. Read on for Mark’s comments about a particular piece: The new Target exclusive Red Cog comes with 5 blaster accessories with 7 interchangeable barrels and components, but there’s more than meets the eye here. WE have an interesting tip shared by Hasbro’s designer Mark Maher, via his Instagram account, has surprised us revealing the “Double Blaster Weaponizer Mode” gimmick of the recently revealed Legacy Red Cog.
